The first conversation is thirty minutes, costs nothing, and ends with a written recommendation — whether or not you hire us. First conversation: 30 minutes, no cost.

Why H2HC

Leaders aremade inthe ordinaryweek

Not on a retreat, not in a workshop, and not on the day of the offsite. In the meeting where somebody has to say the difficult thing and does. Everything we do is built backwards from that moment.

A practice, not a program library.

What we believe

001/004

Connection is a skill.

It is taught, practised and measured like any other — not a temperament somebody either has or does not.

Clarity is a kindness.

The unclear manager is not being gentle. They are moving the discomfort onto the person who has to guess.

Teams do not drift.

Performance is a set of habits somebody built on purpose. Left alone, a group returns to whatever is easiest.

Leaving is the deliverable.

If a program only works while we are in the room, we have sold attendance rather than capability.

How an engagement runs

Four moves, in order, every time

The shape does not change. The content is entirely yours.

Consultants who arrive with the answer have not met the organization yet. We arrive with a method and leave with something specific to you — which is slower to sell and much harder to argue with six months later.

  • 01 — The consultation

Thirty minutes, no cost. You describe what is not working; we tell you honestly whether this is our problem to solve.

  • 02 — Scope in writing

Goals, format, dates, who is in the room and what is explicitly out. Nothing begins before you have read it.

  • 03 — The work

Sessions with practice between them, and three checkpoints where we look at whether the thing we agreed is actually moving.

  • 04 — Handover

A written debrief, the facilitation materials, and the cadence — so the practice continues without a purchase order.

The shape of an engagement

These are design decisions rather than claims about our past — the constraints every H2HC engagement is built inside.

The test

Six months after we leave, is it still happening?

It is the only question worth asking about this kind of work, and it is the reason every engagement ends with something written down rather than a feeling in the room.

What is included

The same list on every engagement, whatever the format. Anything beyond it is quoted separately and named in the scope.

Discovery With the people who will actually be in the room, plus the sponsor.
Up to 4 interviews
Written scope Goals, dates, dependencies, and what is explicitly not included.
Before anything starts
Session materials Workbooks, prompts and slides, unbranded on request.
Yours to keep
Checkpoints A short written read on whether the agreed goal is moving.
3 per program
Facilitation guide So an internal lead can run the cadence after we go.
At handover
Closing debrief What changed, what did not, and what we would do next.
Written
Travel and venue At cost, agreed in the scope before it is incurred.
Quoted separately
Psychometric instruments Only where they earn their place. Most engagements do not need one.

Every engagement ends with
A document

If something on this list would not help you, say so in the consultation and we will take it out of the scope rather than out of the invoice.

What you keep

The artifacts outlive the engagement

Everything we make is written to be used by somebody who was never in the room.

A program that lives in a facilitator’s head is a subscription, not a capability. So the materials are written plainly, the guide assumes no prior training, and the working agreements are in your people’s own language rather than ours.

It is the least commercially clever thing we do, and it is the reason clients come back for a different problem instead of the same one.

  • A working agreement

How this team decides, disagrees and recovers — readable by a new joiner on their first Monday.

  • A facilitation guide

Session by session, so the cadence continues internally.

  • A written debrief

What moved, what did not, and the honest recommendation for what comes next.
